My car had accident with X insurance…
My car had accident with X insurance company’s customer and the X insurance company rented me a car from Budget car rental while my car being repaired. -one particular lady who is in front office to serve customers. She was very rude and has no respect for anyone. I don’t why they employed her to deal with customers - picking up the car took more than 30 minutes -you have to pay security bond upfront -vehicle rotated every 2 weeks which very disruptive to my business. - Before I returned the car, I asked them about my bond and they lied to me that your bond will be refunded in 24-48 hrs once the contract ended. -I returned the car in good condition. No damages to the vehicle and they were happy with vehicle return’s conditions - I did not received refund after 96 hrs. I called them and asked why I have not received my bond? -They put me on hold for more than 10 minutes, which unusual when they need money from you or enquires that benefit them. - I ended the call and call back, this time they answered, they said, bond get refunded after 10 working days. Please don’t go to airport west.

Worst customer service ever
Worst customer service ever. They did not have the car I booked online- which I needed to move houses. I rented a Ute, however I received a phone call in the morning saying the Ute was no longer available, they offered a Van - which we flexibly accepted. When we arrive to the place the manager says the Van was no longer available. The manager at Budget Preston, David was rude and lacks of customer service, he did not provide a solution, not even an apology, instead all he said is “that’s all we got”. Why do they offer a car on their website if it’s not going to be available? Please do not play with people’s time! Luckily I was able to rent a Ute at Europcar, which is around the corner. Please, do yourself a favour and do not book a car with Budget if you need it urgently. Not reliable at all!

Bad car. Bad service
Today I return my rented car at Asheville Regional Airport. When I picked it up, the car smelled of pot, things where broken inside and when driving there was a strange sound. I called Budget to ask for another car, but the snswer was no. Today when I return the car, the guy at the desk seems he totally don't cares. This car was not worth the money. If this is the Budget standard, I never will rent a car from them again.

Horrible Experience, almost ruined our vacation
My family and I were taking our first beach vacation with the grandkids. With pricing soaring, of course, I tried to make the most of our budget by looking for ways to save. I scheduled a rental at enterprise but saw that Budget Car Rental had the same vehicle for $60 cheaper. Well, you get what you pay for, or in this case nothing. On pickup day we were told the vehicle wasn't returned, so it wasn't there. Luckily, I forgot to cancel with enterprise or we would not have made our trip. The csr did call the airport to retrieve the van, however, we had no intention of taking a car that had not been inspected or cleaned. The csr wasn't extremely helpful other than that. Then, just before leaving enterprise calls and says our rental was cleaned, gassed up, and ready early. That extra $60 was worth it. I do not recommend Budget Car Rental, at least not from my area. Or you might need a backup plan. We really should have been called when the car didn't come back as expected. Should have paid closer attention to reviews!!

After everything that is going on in the world. Budget is the only one that charged a $50 cancellation fee. Everywhere else is either doing a full credit or a full refund. Budget has forever lost a customer. I may only be 1. But I am sure they have upset more people for this reason as well. Shame on you Budget.

This is a review for Budget Avis rent a car near Washington Dulles airport . It is a horrible horrible place to rent a car. Rude , ignorant, mindless employees. Worst management possible. Be aware if you don’t pay attention the double triple charge you. And there is nobody to complain to. Actually if they had a proper management this wouldn’t turn to zoo. One star is to many for this location

Must have 2 phone numbers to rent a car? Not a joke.
Without any indication, they require two phone numbers, that they will call in front of you to make sure they are valid. Everything felt like you were dealing with someone who expected you to steal from them. Ghetto from start to finish. Cancelled the reservation.

I wish I could give 0 stars. At first I assumed my issue was just with this one rental office, but after my complaint was investigated, I now believe that the entire Budget car rental company is one big scam.
I booked a car several weeks ago for a period of 3 weeks. I was due to arrive late, but my flight got cancelled, forcing me to rebook my trip for the following morning. I arrived at Brindisi airport in Italy roughly 12 hours later than originally intended, yet Budget decided not to honor my original car rental reservation. My original quote of 700 euro was now, less than 12 hours later, more than 2,000 euro!!
Companies have a choice to either show a little decency or just use predatory tactics to make money on the misfortunes of their customers. I did all I could to inform Budget of the change of plans too. I attempted to call numerous times, but no one answered even though I called during their business hours. There was no option to leave a message or speak with anyone. I attempted to send an email but could not find one on their website. I even messaged them on social media. Last but not least, my reservation had my flight details attached to it. It was easy to figure out that the flight was cancelled. No one attempted to contact me.
After I left a bad review, I received a reply from one of their staff: “After gathering all the information from our mentioned offices and after carefully reading your email, we apologize for all the inconvenience caused. We communicate that this service does not fit with the profile and policy of our Company and at the same time we have passed your comments to the Responsible of the Area so that problems like the one that concerns us cannot happen again. In compensation for all the inconvenience caused, we are pleased to send you two vouchers to be used in your next rental” The 2 vouchers I was offered: 1) a $20 discount and 2) car upgrade After trying to scam me by wanting to charging over 2,000 euro for what was supposed to be a 700 booking, and ruining my trip, they offered me a $20 discount and an upgrade… This is not only a complete failure of customer service, but it’s also insulting.
In summary: Budget car rental is THE WORST CAR RENTAL COMPANY. If you book with them and anything happens, be prepared to receive 0 support, and be scammed or manipulated in every way possible so they can get as much of your money as they can.

$450 to remove sand from interior!!!
Rented a car in US part way through our holiday. The day before we were due to collect the car we received an email asking us to provide a code from DVLA which required us to enter our National Insurance number. Never mentioned on any previous requirements for collecting car and caused loads of stress as we didn’t know them off hand. Sorted that out and it wasn’t even asked for. Today we have received a letter asking for $450 for removal of excessive sand !!!! Assume they must be removing it grain by grain

Very bad service
Made an online reservation. They say VISA debit card is accepted at the office. But it didnt work. I offer to pay with another card and also not work. Then I ask to pay cash also not possible. And withdrawel was also not possible they tell me. After all they didnt give me a solution. Worst of all is that I made an online reservation with a partner of them that dont answer my calls so I lost all the money I paid.

Corporate scam!
Never rent from this company! I rented a car in 2019 and was contacted from a credit collector in 2021 for damage never made. Never was contacted about any damages until 1.5 years later and not even from budget but from a debt collector. This is the way this company tries to steal money from their guests. Don t rent there you will regret it. Be carefull!
